Study the Greats and Become Greater.

study the greats

Why on earth do we all try to reinvent the wheel? We all try to do better than someone, however we rarely take the time to study how that person became great in the first place. Start with that, learn how those before you became great, follow their lead, then when you are closer to that same greatness then start to make the little changes, the small twists on what is already successful to take things to a whole other level. It is in small improvements that success usually comes, not wide swept changes. Take the time to build and grow then look to improve, you can’t do it all at once. Take the time to study someone else who has systems and ideas and the success you want and begin by ‘copying’ them...

Your Past is Just a Story.

Your Past

We cannot keep punishing ourselves, our clients and our business because of what has happened in the past. We need to learn from it, and move forward. Don’t let past mistakes get you down or influence your NOW or your future. Get on the horse and ride! We can accomplish so much and once we know that the past is just how I learned what to do going forward, we will see un-imagined growth take place in front of us! I know the past can hurt and scare us, but it is over and cannot do anything more to us, unless we allow it to. Take a moment learn from it and then move forward. Frankly DORI from Finding Nemo said it best … Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming swimming, just keep swimming!

Samuel Beckett Dance First

Samuel Beckett is my Favorite writer, so much so I named my Son after him. Usually found commenting on the darker side of life, this quote makes me smile. I believe that we need to jump into action and then figure it out. We need to start, to begin in order to become a success. Far to often people are on the sidelines thinking about how great it will be, thinking about how to perfectly accomplish things, however, it is those that stepped up and took the leap that are the ones that get to taste success. So whatever it is that you are considering, whatever it is that you want, move forward start the process and run up against the obstacles, you will never figure out how to overcome them all without starting the process first!

There are no limitations to the mind except those we acknowledge.

there are no limitations

Napoleon Hill was a great man and a quality thinker. This Quote of his is SO important for Business. It has such a strong element of truth, that once learned, creates massive growth in a business. Frankly put we can accomplish anything, and only the made up boundaries that we give to a project surround it. Once you can open your mind to the endless possibilities, can you achieve endless results. I have known Real Estate agents who believe that 5 is the most deals they can accomplish in a single month by themselves, and I have know ones who think 10, and others that think “Who knows”. Each time, I am amazed how the agents are right. Whether the number they believe is 3, 5, 10 or 20, they always seem to be right, the number they believe IS all they can achieve...

Understanding DISC (2) – Disney Characters!

Category: Personal Development

by Don Bowlby

Here are four Disney characters that fit each DISC behavioural style. Just to give you a different viewpoint.

Mustafa from the Lion King – High D

Well, let’s face it he’s a lion. Lions are dominant by nature but his personality style in the movie screams of highly dominant behaviour. After all he accepted the challenge of being king, he manages any trouble that arises in the kingdom and helps the rest of the kingdom solve problems.

Ariel from the Little Mermaid – High I

This is one of my daughter’s all time favourites. Ariel tends to view people and situations with optimism; she is very articulate and makes an extremely favourable impression...

The Power of Positive Thinking

Category: Personal Development

By Remez Sasson

http://www.successconsciousness.com/index_000009.htm

Positive thinking is a mental attitude that admits into the mind thoughts, words and images that are conductive to growth, expansion and success. It is a mental attitude that expects good and favourable results. A positive mind anticipates happiness, joy, health and a successful outcome of every situation and action.Whatever the mind expects, it finds.

Not everyone accepts or believes in positive thinking. Some consider the subject as just nonsense, and others scoff at people who believe and accept it. Among the people who accept it, not many know how to use it effectively to get results. Yet, it seems that many are becoming attracted to this subject, as evidenced by the many books, lectures and courses about it...
